Matt Schrage
I'm a programmer and tinkerer living in San Francisco, CA. I co-founded Fig (opens in a new tab), which was recently acquired by Amazon (opens in a new tab).
Prior to Fig, I studied a mix of history and philosphy at Harvard and took How to Make (Almost) Anything at MIT (portfolio (opens in a new tab)).
I've worked at a number startups, most notably on the Labs R&D team at Foursquare (opens in a new tab).
I'm fascinated by the history of measurement. On a personal level, I track lots of information about myself. At the societal level, I wrote my undergraduate thesis on the development of audience measurement, from Nielsen ratings to Facebook's newsfeed algorithm (PDF).
